RE: Barriers Encroachine City Right -of -Way

Our records indicate that you are the owner of the residences at 2,4301, and 24233 Firdale
ftpejjue. 'We have been made aware of large, timber style barriers placed within the City of
Edmonds right-of-way in front of your houses. Please be aware that it is a violation of City Code
to place any structures within the City right-of-way without an encroachment permit. All
permanent structures within the City right-of-way must be placed under an approved
encroachment permit and to City standards, per Edmonds Community Development Code 18.70
(copy attached). The locations of the barricades were not approved by the City, nor have they
been placed to City standards.
The City of Edmonds directs you to remove the barricades from the right-of-way and onto
private property, or make application for an encroachment permit within thirty days of today's
date t o prevent further action by our Code Enforcement Officer. Encroachment permits are not
typically granted for the erection of fixed structures in the safety clear zone of the roadway.
