On June 24, 1981 the Street*Department was removing the broken sidewalk
and curbs to put in and place wheelchair -ramps in all,four of the corners.
The crew had removed.three of thecorners and was working on the north east
corner. Barricades had been placed where the sidewalk had been removed. At
approximately 1:30 p.m.,. a lady walked through the barricaded area and fell
hitting her head. John Walvatne called the aid car. The aid crew checked
her and allowed her to go home. The aid crew remarked that the area was
blocked off well enough for the people to see.
