I am in receipt of a letter from Carol Dickey to Bobby Mills,
Superintendent of Public Works. I am unsure as to your
representational capacity but felt it prudent to contact you
rather than the Dickeys regarding this matter. A water lien in
the amount of $359.07 and a sewerage lien in the amount of
$125.42 were recorded with the Snohomish County Auditor on July
17, 1985.
The Dickeys note in the last paragraph of their letter that they
are retired senior citizens, living on social security and that
the debt will be difficult for them to pay. By filing a lien it
is our intention to collect this amount upon the sale of the
house unless sooner paid. This sale should generate sufficient
income to pay the relatively small amount of approximately
$500.00.
Please communicate this position to your client at your
convenience. If you have any questions in this regard, please
contact me.
