Dear Mr. Keuss:
Thank you for responding to our inquiries regarding an office building located at 400
Admiral Way. We believe we have located a permit for this building using the
information you provided in your letter. I have attached a copy of a permit issued in
1984 for a 10' x 20' office building at 465 Admiral Way. Though the address is not 400
Admiral Way, it is in the same vicinity. We will process Mr. Roth's business license
Thursday morning.
Once again, thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Marie Harrison

Dear Ms. Harrison:
I am responding to your letter of August 13, 2004 sent to Mr. Michael Roth. Your question
in the letter was 'in regards to providing documentation that the structure in question was
legally permitted. The Port can not answer your question as the construction of the facility
in question was. completed at a time when the Port did not own the property. Whether or
not the property owner at that time secured a permit I do not know.
The Port took over the facility 'in the tmid 1980's and has been operating -the area as a
boatyard program. The building in question has been used as an office by the previous
program coordinator; it has been used as an office by our staff in the recent past and also as
a stora_ae area.
I
By copy of this letter I am requesting that you proceed fulfilling the request by Mr. Rodi in
granting a Business License to him, as he now uses this structure as an office facility. This
has been the traditional use of this facility over the past 35 years.
If you have any further questions, please feel free in contacting my office.
Sincerely yours,
