'On February 17, 1981, the Edmonds - City Council passed
Resolution 488 for construction, reconstruction, and repair of
deteriorated sidewalks A letter dated March 169 1981 was sent eo
-residents that we -re required to repair the sidewalk abutting their
property. The improvement of sidewalks,in need of repair at the
expense of the abutting property owner is- provided by,,City
Ordinance, Chapter 7.20 and Revised"Code of Washing'ton, Chapter
35.68.
The areas needing repair,have been.marked in pain-t on the
sidewalk adjoining your property. Reconstruction permits must be
obtained from the Building Department at 501 Bell Street within 0
days upon receipt of this certified letter. The fee,,f6r the
sidewalk.'repair has been waived by the City of Edmonds. I'n,-the'
eveilt these improvements are not completed withinninety.(90)-days
upon receipt of this certified letter, the City will emplO.y-,a,-11;.

This action is in response to.many citizen requests and
