heavy rains during.November of 1978 and March 1979. Some
were only for covered inlets, others for plugged drains and
creeks. During the week of October 22 to October 26, 1979
all of these addresses were checked for possible plugged
or trouble problems. Nothing was found to cause a problem.
These addresses were checked by Leadman Bill Stroud.

SUBJECT: STORM DRAINAGE DAMAGE, '4-4-8 l2TR_P_LACE__N_O_RTH
An intense rain storm on the evening of November 3, 1978, resulted
in heavy excess storm water runoff in the Emerald Hills area
which flowed down Highland Drive, 12th Avenue North and to the
end of 12th Place North cul-7415�,-sac. Heavy leaf drop occurred
with the high winds also and resulted in many drainage catch
basin inlet grates being covered and causing increased flow
at the end of the culd-a-sac. When crews were able to respond
to the call at this address, the resident had opened various
inlet grates at this location and had runoff water under c ontrol
at this time. The intensity of the storm had begun to recede
somewhat by the time Street crews arrived. The flooding of
the side yard and garden area -had caused erosion within the
property.

clear, a huge volume of water cam'e down
12th Place North. The storm drain at the
northwest end of the cul-de-sac could not
handle the additionii—l-ru-noff fiom the
entire hill. The water was covering the
sAdewalk on the west side of 12th Pl. N
