Mr�.whitcutt informed the Board of a verbal denial which the fire Depart-

ment had advanced in this case.

%Mr.,Winiers circulated a letter written to the owner of,the Pancake Maus

replete with the owner's reply. IIL,strongly stated the lack, of need, in
his opLnion, for fire protection for in existing, parking lot. Mr. Payne

pointed out that too much deviation from the requirements of the c de would,
negate their requirements.

A discussion ensued regarding the possibility or lack of possibility.of

the parking lot being changed into nomie other use. A deed covenant was
discussed but discarded as impractical.

Hauge pointed out that no hardship.exists in this case.
