The City of Edmonds has recently installed a catch basin near the
northwest corner of the property at 520 Walnut. This is an area of
chronic groundwater problems. In an effort to alleviate this and other
related problems, we anticipate the storm sewer will be extended into
the backyard area.
You are being advised of this in order to give you the opportunity to
participate. The adjoining neighbors who participate in this will have
legal access to the future drain. The City will assist in the
preparation of the necessary legal documents (easements) and the design
of the system if there is an interest expressed by you and/or your
neighbors.
If you,were previously contacted,by the City and told to have your roof
drains disconnected from the sanitary sewer, or have drainage problems
that you want resolved, this is the opportunity! By sharing the cost,
this project can be much more attractive to everyone.

in participating in this project, or if you have any questions about
this matter.
