The City has received your request for a second address for the Shellabarger Building. Since you
have a well-defin e*d condominium entrance from Holly Drive as well as a well-defined 5th Avenue
South entrance, the Building Official, with the concurrence of the Fire Marshall, has determined that
an exception will be made to the policy of only one address for each building.
Therefore, the address of 525 5th Avenue South, has been assigned to the 5th Avenue entrance of
the Shellabarger Building. The landlord is responsible to assign suite numbers in a consectutive
manner. If the office space on the second floor is accessed fro m- Holly Drive then it must be
addressed as such with an appropriate suite number.
The City will notify all applicable departments of this additional address. It is your res - posibility to
notify all other interested parties, including the Post Office.

Re: Request for Change of Address
Dear Sharon:
The following letter represents our formal request to change the address of the Shellabarger
Creek Building in downtown Edmonds from 504 Holly Drive to a 5th Avenue address. Our
IS agent, Rob Downing of Kidder, Mathews & Segner, Inc., had previously contacted you regarding
this request. At that time, you left him a voice mail that you required a letter from each of the
condo owners, that the building can have only one address and that the City of Edmonds had
previously preferred a 5ih Avenue address but at the time of building construction the 504 Holly
Drive was requested by the owner.
The building was never sold as separate condo units and is thus under single ownership and
operated as an apartment building. As the sole owner, it is my request to change the address from
504 Holly Drive to the address that was previously going to be assigned to the building (a 5th
Avenue address). If possible, we would prefer two addresses. We would like to keep 504
Holly Drive for the residential units and xxx 5th Avenue for the commercial space on the
ground floor. We currently have two tenant improvement jobs in for permit. Since the new
tenants will need to order new Iletterhead, etc., could you please provide us with the new building
address as soon as possible, preferably concurrent with the issuance of the building permit.
