Engineers, representing nan- mor Construction showedthe plans for the Petirement apartments ani the Conva- lescent Center. Mr. McClarty said the convalescent center was to he stucco. either white or tan. The apartments would be horizontal wood siding stained some shade of brown. It was to be conservative in appearance. The existing trees on the site are to be preserved and building desinn has been around the trees. There are off -site problems to be screened off so they are planning to use maple and types of pine trees which will be 6 to 10 feet when planted. Lighting will be for safety and security with very little outside lighting. �j The -outside -lighting 'is the type. that is required by�ithe Enq1neer1rig nepartment. __11 A 4ini-bus I service will be provided to take residents shopping, etc. Because o f V06 thii age group in the apartments there will be virtually no cars. Mr. Wallis noted that this complex will be one-half block from High�qay 99 which will undoubtedly be a future bus route in the city. Mr. Wallis said he would also like to compliment the architects on one of the finest sets of plans that has corw., into his office.
