Stallsmith 551 Fir Place Edmonds, Washington 98020 Dear Mrs. Stallsmith: A completed investigation by the Meter Division regarding high consumption at the above address on July 7, 1981, and March 18, 1982, the meter reading history of this account indicates no unusual consumption amounts. The water meter was removed and tested in the meter shop and was found to be function- ing accurately. A leak detector test meter was installed at the residence on March 18, 1982, with a seven-day graph that showed the amount of water used and the time of day it was used. The test meter and graph were removed and the ori-ginal meter was replaced on March 26, 1982. It is clear that you do not have a leak and the graph and meter records show no unusual water consumption as a result of a faulty meter. The graph, meter record card and a copy of the previous meter reading history are attached. In case you are not aware, the City of Edmonds offers a Senior Citizen Discount on the water rates. If you are interested, please contact the Utility Billing office at 771-3051. If you have any questions regarding our findings, please contact Mr. Lee Willieksen, of the Meter Division, at 771-3202. Being elderly and'living alonet I do not use bath -tub for baths. I only use the shower (low head of water) and sponge baths. I got stuck in the bath- tub once and had a most difficult time getting out of it. Showers are safer and use less water. I have not used my dish -washer since Christmas. I only use washing machine about once a month. Do light hand washing in wash -basin in bathroom# - lingerie and hosieryp between times. I put a large plastic container filled with water in the toilet tank which makes it take mueh .less water for flushing. I've used and am using every device I can think of to oonserve waterp and still I get these outrageous water bills, which I am strongly protesting. Witb all the rain we've been having# no need to water the grassr etc. There just has to be something wrong with the meter here. I'm asking you to do something about it how, I do not want to help pay for all the mistakes and mismanagement the city has done in the pastr nor do I want to help pay for other peoples problems in other areas of the city. UTILITY BILLING ACCOUNT NUMBER 107-01650 A completed investigation by the Meter Division regarding high consumption at the above address on July 7, 1981 and March 18, 1982, shows the meter reading history of this account indicates no unusual consumption amounts. The water meter was removed and tested in the meter shop for accuracy and was found to be functioning perfectly. A leak detector test meter was installed at the residence on March 18, 1982, with a seven day graph that would show water used, and at what time of day it was used.
