Mr. Wolabornt The Planning Department has examined the plot plan for conformance with the Zoning Ordinance requirements which regulate parking lot designo The plan proposes'seven parking spaces,, which conforms to the Ordinance requirements. 'The soaces--arie-'all shown with the proper maneuvering spaces and dimensions. The parking space,in front of the four-plex, however, is improperly arranged, and should not be placed parallel to the street. In Its p ' resent position Inadequate space would b*,available for a person to maneuver the car In andout ftem the street. We vould, suggest that this parking bay be located perpendicular to the street-l-ine. An adequate planting area has been shown on the east and west sides of'tho rear parking lot. However-, thee I s planting bad* should be lined with a permanent concrete curb,, and this, curb -should proceed northward on aradius to the -two rear lot corners* The planting requirements for parking lots have been established in the Zoning Ordinance to provide SM's sciee'n from adjoining properties. This screening effdct can be sohievedaither, by a fbur-fodt decorative fence or -by evergreen shrubs having a mature height of from three to four feet, These shrubs should be located close enough together so that at maturity they form a solid hedge which will partially obscure the view of the parking lot frpm adjoining properties.
