Black 615 Sater Lane Edmonds, WA 98020 Dear Ms. Black: LARRY S. NAUGHTEN L14YOR PETER E. HAHN DIRECTOR This letter is in response to your letter dated January 10, 19?0. You may have already seen the City of Edmonds Street Section is in the process of installing a storm drainage system on Sater Lane. This new system will pick up the water that is poncling in the street at your driveway. We are also installing the system at a grade that you will be able to tie your driveway drain into the new system. I thank you for your patience and understanding on this problem and I believe that this will solve your drainage problems. I would like to remind you that if the new drainage facility gets covered by leaves it, will not function. Would you please keep an eye an it and feel free to give me a call me at 771-3202 should you have any questions or problems with the drainage system. Sincer ly, Bill Stroud Street Supervisor BLACK/TXTSTREE Incorporated August 11 1890 Sister Cities International -- Hekinan, Japan Mr. Bobby Mills Engineering Department City of Edmonds 250 5th Ave N Edmonds, WA 98020 Dear Mr. Mills: 615 Sater Lane Edmonds, WA 98020 January 10, 1990 ]RECEIVED JAN 16 1990 PUBLIC WORKS Thank you very much for responding to -the f lood situation at our home, 615 Sater Lane, on January 9, 1990. As I indicated to you, the reinforcement of the berm on the street is at best a short term solution to a 16 year old drainage problem in the cul-de-sac. Despite the additional reinforcement of the berm done by your crew yesterday, there are literally two rivers running through our yard. Even in the absence of excessive rainfall, we experience the run off from the property at 608 Sater Lane. There is a perpetual pond in the street side of the berm. Frequently there is an additional pond by the water meter in our yard. During the past 5 years I have repeatedly asked the City to remedy the drainage problem. I appreciate your commitment to investigate the construction of a storm drain on Sater Lane in order to alleviate this chronic problem. I look forward to hearing the results of your assessment of the drainage situation.' Siin,qpj7ely Patricia A. Black
