Good question and I'm glad you asked.
Please contact City of Edmonds at 775.2525 to inquire about a Special Event review, if required. Although your event
sounds like it will be entirely on your (bank) property, you're sending invitations, and you have parking provided on -site,
a Special Event review may be needed in the case if your guest parking spills onto public right of way along the street.
Special events are reviewed by all city departments and FID.
Regarding your tent otherwise, there's a 400 s.f. limit (20'x2O') when at least one of the sides is open on your tent -can't
have all sides down. if you want larger tent area, I need more information and plans for a Fire Permit. The tent may be
installed adjacent to your building. Any tent is required to be flame -resistive and labeled as such. Ask your rental
company to assure that complies. Anchorage is required and that also should be such that your guests are not tripping
upon guy lines, if they are so constructed.
Regarding the heaters, listed electrical heaters may be used, exercising care for placement of cords to avoid trip hazard
and care in placement so they will not burn your guests. If you use propane heaters, you are limited to 5 gallon water
capacity (20 lb) each of propane that are placed so they will not burn guests.
There are top- and side -clearance requirements for both types of heaters that your rental company can help you
calculate so you many maintain the clearances to temporary furnishings, tent sides and top, and your guest area.

We are having our Grand Opening Event on April 19 th _ I already told you about and you will have a formal invitation
sent to you by next week — my question is ... we want to have a tent outside in our parking lot and we wanted to have 2
heaters out there. What would be the criteria to follow in order for us to be compliant? I believe the tent will have 3
closed sides — sort of in a U shape. Would we need to take down one of the sides or would be okay. The heaters we will
,be renting.
