firm established in 1965. The Company is 'presently located in the lower Queen Anne
area and emp loys eleven people.
The insurance coverag es written by Pacific International Underwriters are a.11 arranged
with Agents and Brokers throughout the States of Washington and Alaska. The office
specializes in certain forms of insurance that are placed with Lloyd's of London and
other markets located, throughout the country.

The intended use of the building is as a professional office for insurance business.
NEIGHBORHOOD COMPATIBILITY
Pacific International Underwriters operates differently from most insurance agents'offices
in that there is no contact with the general public. All communications with customer
agents and brokers is through the mail, by telephone or telex. The firm does no public
advertising (not even telephone yellow pages) and requires no building signs other than
for office identification.
The working hours are 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. There are no outside come &
go s6les persons or business vehicles. The parking in the area appears to be more than
adequate for the neighbors and the employees of Pacific International Underwriters.
The office premises of Pacific International Underwriters have always been maintained
in excellent condition with clean restroDms; lunchroom, and attractive offices with
modern furnishings and decorations. In occupying the building at the corner of Dayton
and Durbin (an old Mortuary) considerable attention will be given to improving the
outside appearence including, trimming shrubs, lawn care, planting flowers, painting
and removing unsightly objects. The interior changes will include improved lighting,
carpeting, painting, and remodeling for office use.
