We understand the City's desire to establish a final design that relies on gravity versus using pumps. The City's proposed policy regarding treatments of the creation of future lots where pumps may be required has also been reviewed. Your assistance is sincerely appreciated in reviewing the enclosed drawing that, assuming our ownership of contiguous property does not increase, creates one additional building lot. Based upon the grade of the property and the currently proposed sewer design, the new lot (Lot C) will undoubtedly require installation of a grinder pump. The drawing also shows the existence of a City easement for sewers over a portion of Lot B per the attached Kagle & Associates, Inc. sketch recorded under Snohomish County Auditor's #7612100153. The currently recorded easement is near the western edge,of our developed lot. In view of these circumstances and our plans, we respectfully request that,the proposed easement route be modified to come into substantial conformance with the route indicated on the enclosed drawing we have had prepared. This suggested route should be more in keeping with the City's policies of designing for gravity while not creating a hardship on us and future owners of Lot C by having to install and maintain a grinder -*pump. The proposed route does not provide access to an existing residence to the east. We believe that residence could be served by gravity into the line to be installed on 68th Avenue, West. Should that impression be incorrect, let's explore the granting of an additional easement for a side sewer to service the parcel. After your review we would be happy to answer any questions and discuss any matters related to this situation.
