The above mentioned conversation pertained to the possible abandonment by the City of Edmonds and the acquisition of the land lying adjacent,to the south lines of our respective properties. These properties are part of the Gogert Subdivision known as 6911 174th S.W., owned by Mr. and Mrs. Garrison, and 6915 174th S.W., owned by Mr. and Mrs. Batterson. It is our wish to acquire this small parcel tha ' t was deeded to the City by Mr. Gogert plus that portion remaining of now abandoned right-of-way for realignment of 174th Street. It is our joint desire to have this land divided by an extension of the north - south line between our two homesites. These two parcels would contain approxi- mately 6000 square feet each. Acquisition and division of this land would not only,enhance the values of our homes. but assure us of rights of ingress and egress. It would place this land back onto the tax rolls plus allowing us to landscape and improve the appear- ance of this land. During the telephone discussion you indicated that you would be willing to pre- sent this request and -the necessary maps and drawings to the City Council and perhaps obtain an appointment with the Council during which we can personally present this request.
