We see that the City has installed a new trash rack over the culvert carrying creek in
our_backyard. This_must_be_P_hase_1.,-righter After_receiving_a copy_of the work order
you generated last December, we expected- our follow-up phone calls and your
challenges to coordinate with Bill Stroud would ultimately yield something more than a
rebar grate'we could've manufactured ourselves.
According to Work Order #7FA 1031104, your engineering solution for the creek was to
"replace the trash rack for the culvert carrying creek at 708 Birch Street with Rebar
Trash Rack ... Also widen stream channel approach to culvert, to improve hydraulics..."
You indicated that the City has two easements to work in this area.
So we're wondering: when can we expect Phase 2 to be completed? The season of
rain will soon be upon us, which, obviously, is when we need for the solution to be in
place.
Please reassure us that the City is capable not only of diagnosing a problem, but
effecting satisfactory, complete resolution. We'll be looking for your response.
