I have reviewed your memo, dated May 19, 1982, and have the following
comments regarding the 20 foot right-of-way which abuts Mrs. Goldsmith's
south property line.
1. Intersection of Sunset Way and Olympic View Drive:
This intersection is located between two curves
in Olympic. View Drive. Sight distance appears
limited. Substantially increasing the amount of
traffic could -'create problems at this intersection:
2. Width and Slope of Sunset Way:
The present right-of-way is unimproved. Three
homes use this gravel road for access. The
existing 20 foot right-of-way would be adequate
for five to six homes, if improved to the full
width.
3. Status of the Barricade:
We have no records indicating when the barricade was
erected. It is the recommendation of the Planning
Department that the barricade remain. If it is
removed, potential additional traffic would require
widening of the right-of-way and could create problems
at the intersection of Olympic View Drive and
Sunset flay.

The fire departments concerns at 9108 Olympic View Drive are
as follows:
1. The intersection of Sunset Way and Olympic View
Drive is a bad intersection but I see no way to
improve it. Traffic control signs ie: caution
signs would possibly help.
2. The Code requires a street serving a maximum of
4 lots to be 20 feet wide with 16 feet of pave-
ment. I don't know the slope to be able to
comment on it.
3. The concern of emergency services is to be able
to access properties easily. Therefore, it
would be recommended by the fire department to
remove the barricade so we would have two means
of access to this area.
