Dear Postmaster,

Edmonds, Washington 98O2U
My entire life, I've loved going to the post office. I've always felt the USPS was unfairly criticized and a
reliable oasis amid corporate misanthropy. I've been afan for 63years. Today, however, I'm
questioning the actions of a postal carrier from the Edmonds branch, who identifies himself as Justin.
Justin did not deliver mymail today for mtleast the second day inarow. When | caught upwith him
about 2p.nn.today, stuffing mail into all the other 18slots above, below, and adjacent tomine atthe
homeowners association mailbox, he said, yes, he has been delivering everyone else's mail the past few
days. Just not mine.
He also confirmed he had left a note two days before on a car (not mine) parked in front of my house. It
said, "2340Ymuhpt car has been blocking boxes/broweek. Mail bnnhold until vehicle /*nnoved^The
note was not honest. The car he complained about had been parked in a legal space not encroaching on
the 30–foot USPS access painted yellow by the city — and Justin acknowledged he was delivering other
mail tothe very same box.
The car moved yesterday yet, again, today, Justin delivered mail for all l8other homeowners within our
communal lock box, but not mine. Hesaid mymail was atthe Edmonds post off ice. But |hod/ustcome
from the Edmonds post office, where the clerk said my mail was not there, that my carrier had it. So,
where is my mail?
I don't see how we can have postal carriers deciding on who gets their mail and who based on
how he feels that day about a car not infringing on the USPS 30 -foot access zone? No one in my house
violated the designated 3O-hxz USPS access.
Justin seems towant more than the current 3O-footaccess, orperhaps a different3O-footstretch. But |
would ask your employees to use proper channels to address that. USPS should talk with city hall, to
consider the access zone. In the meantime, please deliver my mail.
Thank you,
Trudy Bialic
