The proposed development is in full compliance with the intent of the comprehensive plan to
provide moderate sized housing units in the Edmonds Bowl, and thus helps our city comply with
the objectives of the State Growth Management Act. These moderate sized and thus more
affordable units help the region address the growing need for multifamily units that are near the
existing bus, ferry and train transit lines.
By making full utilization of the sloping site, while still fitting in with the character of the adjacent
properties, this project fits nicely within the context of the immediate neighborhood. Two of the
townhome units use a four-story configuration, (with the option of a private elevator(s)), while a
two- and three-story configuration is utilized for the other two units.
