Commissioner Hall presented copies of an article published by the Post Intelligencer on August 7, "Saving Neighborhoods: For Whom?"-- and although it speaks for the Seattle area, she felt it related to Edmonds as well and the citizens' desires for maintaining a family residential area. Commissioner Hall suggested -if there were more standard cars than compact cars, there would be many empty spaces; she emphasized this may not be a wise utilization of space. Ms. Charleson stated there would be that problem and if there was not enough.room for standard cars, the next step would be parking in the streets.
