WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposal to amend the Official Zoning Map to rezone Lots
1-15, Block D, Old Plats of Edmonds, from Communitv Business
j
.(BC) to Single Familv Residential (P.S-6) ; and
WHEREAS, the alley south of this block will not serve
as an adequate buffer between the single family and business
zones; and

WHEREAS, because of its location, traffic characteris-
f tics, and neighboring commercial uses, this block is an integral
( part of the downtown business district and should remain zoned
BC; now therefore
( BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
amendment to the Official Zoning Map as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, be denied.
