the northwest corner of Highway 99 and 212th St. S.W. (CG)
The applicant displayed a picture of the proposed building and noted
there would be no clown at this Jack -in -the -Box. The picture reflected
a.roofline treatment slightly different from that shown on the drawings
and Mr. Kinderfather indicated a preference for that in the picture.
He felt the architecture was excellent. There was some discussion
regarding cprb cuts and egress and ingress, considering the traffic
pattern at this location. The applicant indicated there would be a 5'
concrete sidewalk on 212th which will be integrated with the landscaping.

REID, MIDDLETON R ASSOCIATES - Review of landscaping and sign for
service building at Dayton St. and Admiral Way (CW)
firs. Luster said the proposed sign will be 30 sq. ft. in area and .will
be on the building instead of on the fence. Mrs. Luster said the Staff
had questioned why there was not more integration of different plants
in planters 2.and 3 on the landscape plan. Chairman Wight stated the
plant materials indicated should have a good chance of surviving. .The
applicant said the plants would be maintained by the City. He said
there are two service entrances and the plantings will help to direct
pedestrian flow. Mrs. Luster said the proposed sign came close to the
maximum signage and there may not be much left for a concession sign.
Mr. LaTourelle commented that the sign is dictated by the Department of
Fisheries. MR. SELVIDGE MOVED, SECONDED BY MR. CHRISTOFFERSON, TO APPROVE
ADB-91-78. MOTION CARRIED. The applicant said part of the plan calls
for existing plantings on the islands as you enter, but they had developed
an alternate plan to include some flowering plum trees. The Board agreed
the alternate plan would be desirable.
