Re: Parkside West
Dear Duane:
^T:
You have asked me to provide you with information con-'
cerning the process the developer will have to go through to
obtain an extension for completion of Parkside West PRD.- As
you know, the PRD received final approval almost two years
ago. Under Section 20.35.120, subsection (B), of the Code,
approval of a project automatically expires if the project
has -not been completed within two years from the date;of the
adoption of the ordinance of approval. The Code provides
that an extension of time for completion may be approved by
the.City Council in the same manner as a change. Changes to
approve projects are governed by Section 20.35.110. This
I
provides that the change in a PRD must be applied for and
processed in the same manner as an original application. This
means that the application for an extension of time would
have to be heard first by the Planning Advisory Board, and
then by the City Council. Although our Code requires consi-
deration. by the ADB, since..the application will not involve
any change in the project, other than an extension in time,
review by the ADB is not necessary.

I trust the foregoing answers your questions. Would you
