CP-23-66, Amend Comp. Street Plan by extending 203rd St. S.W. as a 50-foot right-of-way
westerly from 76th Ave. W. to 81st Ave. W.
Affidavits of publication and poster presented. Mr. Larson said he would prefer to have
the hearing.continued, as subsequent study has revealed that a whole road system needs
to be developed for the area. Mr. J. B. Osborne, 78th St., and Nels Hendricksen,.were
present and stated they would be directly affected, and Mr. Hendricksen pointed out that
he has a subdivision up for approval which was continued to the November 16th meeting.
Mr. J. E. Simpson stated that he was opposed as it would take his property.
It was moved by Mr. Hubbard, seconded by Mr. Thompson, that hearing on the matter be
continued to the meeting of November 16, 1966. Motion carried.

CP-24-66, Amend Comp. Street Plan by establishing a street system for the area bounded
ty 191st St. S.W. on the south, Olympic View Drive on the east, Wharf Street
on the north, and Sound View Place on the west.
Affidavits of publication and poster presented. Mr. Larson outlined the proposed road
system, emphasizing that the City is planning for the future, and the system would provide
loop road access to the area. Mrs. Shippen questioned the number of families that would
j be served and the need for a 40' r/w. Mr. Larson pointed out future development to the.
north and west. Mr. Haines pointed out that Mr. Bell's subdivision would be affected
by this, and Mr. Bell had been notified that hearing on his subdivision would be post-
poned until October 26th. Therefore, Mr. Haines felt, it would be unfair to take action
I at this time.
i Mr. Propst questioned 35' r/w on Blake Place and 40' on 195th Pl.
It was moved by Mr. Haines that action on this matter be deferred to October 26, 1966.
On second by Mr. Propst, the motion carried.
Plats
1 P=6-66, Trygve Fiksdal - Preliminary Condominium Plat at 196th S.W. 6 Maplewood Road.
Affidavits of publication and poster presented. Letter of approval from the Health
Officer was read, and engineering recommendations were reviewed. Mr. Middleton, the
i engineer, said he had nothing to add, and city engineering recommendations were accep-
table. Several property owners were present and looked over the proposed plat and
} questioned details of development.
It was noted that the easement to the south is over adjoining property, and they are
aware that they cannot count this area in unit computation. It was noted also that
the legal description of the plat should include the 50' easement to the south.
It was moved by Mr. Propst that the preliminary condiminium plat presented in File No.
P-6-66 be approved for 49 units with recommendation to the Board of Adjustment that
approval be given to a Conditional Use Permit for a 50th unit. On second by Mr.
Nordquist, the motion carried with one opposed.

P-7-66, Robert Gierke & Edward Olson - Preliminary Plat of "TALBOT VISTA", at the
southeast end of Frederick P1.
Affidavits of publication and poster presented. Mr. Gierke was present. Mr. Larson
said he had talked to Mr. Meyring, the engineer, about moving the proposed r/w south
to adjoin the University property to provide possible through access in the future,
and he requested a continuance in order to study the matter further.
Residents of the area expressed concern for further development on unimproved road with
3" water main along Frederick P1., along with increased traffic on the dead end road.
It was noted that a community club was being formed, and that an application for a rezone
to RS-20 had been filed, but Mr. Stan Sorensen said their chief concern was for good
planning for the area.
It was moved by Mr. Nordquist, seconded by Mr. Propst, that hearing on the matter be
continued to October 26, 1966. notion carried.
At 12:15 a.m., it was moved by Mr. Hubbard, seconded by Mr. Nordquist, that the meeting
be recessed until October 26, 1966 at 8:00 p.m. Motion carried.
