do, not be'lieve. that'the present owner will continue to live long
in the, house without his garden and lawns and: we believe-thatihey:
will sell out and move on leaving behind the existing structure
with, a crowded.substandard lot.
Secondly, the.road.access-will be over Driftwood Lane
which h is a narrow substandard road which at preseht-has a great
deal-, of traffic*o'ver it because it is a route of access or
houses to. the west.,
The granting ofthis subdivision and *variance would be
inconsistent with the present philosophy and theme Edmonds.to
-of
eep,Edinonds an uncrowded, quiet residential community.'
In addition the'zoning hearing is set pr'io-r to the
variance hearing and.the zoning should not be granted unless -'and
until the variance -is granted.
Accordingly we propose that the subdivision be denied or
in the alternative substantial building restriction's be imposed
upon the properties to mitigate the damages.to the'Bruhs house
by,limitinq the erection of buildings on the lots to one story
buildings.'
In -addition the mattershouldbe postponed so that the
drainage problem can be investigated to determine its impact on
the proposed subdivsion.
