Scope: Alteration SFR, VB construction, Plumbing and Mechanical included.
Dear Mr. Carter,
Itemized below is our response to the review comments dated February 15, 2019 for the above
referenced project. Our response appears in bold.
52.1:
1. The plans indicate detail 4/53.3 is to be applied along the proposed 5 %"x14PSL.Page S3.3 was
not included with the submittal. Please provide sheet 53.3 or add intended detail to the plans.
Please refer to the updated detail 4/54.2 referenced on 52.1.
2. Directive "Dowel and Epoxy threaded rod into existing foundation with Simpson Set-XP and
12" min embed, typical at anchors" is provided and appears to be intended for the required
HDU2 anchors has been provided. When referring to the Hold -Down schedule, it appears that a
5/8" threaded rod is to be used with the note 4 providing further direction to detail 6 on 54.1.
Detail 6 does not appear to correspond. Please clarify and indicate the intended installation detail
on the plans.
Please refer to the updated Hold-down Schedule on 53.1. Generic references that don't apply
have been removed from the schedule.
