CORRECTIONS LISTED BELOW MUST BE MADE BEFORE WORK CAN BE
APPROVED AND/OR THE NEXT PHAST OF WORK IS STARTED.
RECALL FOR INSPECTION
STOP WORK UNTIL AUTHORIZED TO CONTINUE BY CITY INSPECTOR
1.Clean storm system
2.Provide compaction test report for utility trenches.
3.Finish paving –widening of lower driveway and trench patches
4.Obtain easement from neighbor for portion of upper driveway that crosses onto their property.
Widening the driveway as shown on the plans is not a feasible option given the steep slopes and
utility pole location.
5.Remove gravel that has been placed on the two lower lots.
6.Permanently stabilize exposed soils.
7.Trees: Roots of afew trees were cut during installation of the sewer line, causing concerns over
negative impact to root systems and overall viability and stability of the trees.Since the extent
of the damage to the tree roots is unknown, this will need to be assessed by an arborist. Please
submit a report by an ISA-or ASCA-certified arborist, including tree hazard evaluation forms,
documenting the viability and stability of the trees adjacent to the trench that was dug for the
sewer line.As part of the arborist's after-the-fact assessment, please have them assess the
overall health of the trees as well as any damage that was done to the roots that may affect
survivability and stability of these trees. If these trees are determined to be hazardous bythe
arborist, they shall be removed and replaced at a two-to-one ratio as provided for in ECDC
23.40.220.C.7.b.If the arborist does not consider these trees to be hazardous at this time, a bond
must be posted to ensure viability of the trees over the next two years. At the end of the two
year period, the trees must be reassessed by an arborist. If the arborist determines that the trees
arein good health, they can be retained and the bond will be released. If the arborist
determinesthat the trees arehazardous, theymust be removed and replaced at a two-to-one
ratioas provided for in ECDC 23.40.220.C.7.b.
The actions or corrections indicated aboveare required to be corrected
prior to final short plat approval.
