Dear Ms. Snow,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was
found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be
addressed before review can continue:
1.Hanging Sign – Height: The maximum height of projecting signs in the CG zone is 14
feet (ECDC 20.60.040.B). Please note the height of the sign on your plans.
2.Hanging Sign – Clearance: Pursuant to ECDC 20.60.040.C, “the bottom of the sign area
of projecting signs shall be at least eight feet in height and at least 11 feet in height if it
projects over a vehicle traveled right-of-way.” Please note on your plans the amount of
clearance under the hanging sign.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please redline plans or submit two sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items.
Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator Monday
through Friday, 9am to noon or 1pm to 4pm. If you have any questions, please do not
