During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
2/10/06 –
1.ok
10/25/06 –
1.I have reviewed the approved HPA permit dated October 17, 2006 and am seeking clarification on the
following:
The Project Name on the permit is: Shippen Debris Removal. The Project Description on the permit is:
Remove debris from creek. The provisions of the permit reference a fence and bridge plan which was
undated. Please provide a copy of the undated plan that was reviewed by Fish and Wildlife so it is clear
what type of work is approved by the HPA permit.
As stated in the provisions of the HPA permit, large debris or debris embedded in the streambed or bank
shall only be removed between July 1 and October 15. It then states “Overwater work may occur at
anytime.” From the site plan on file with the City, dated February 3, 2006, it is unclear whether the fence
itself or the installation of such would disturb the streambed or bank or if the construction would be
considered “overwater work”. Please provide additional plans to clearly show the location of fence posts
in relation to the stream and the process by which the fence will be constructed (by hand, equipment,
etc.).
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Marie
Harrison is the City contact for this project. Please feel free to contact me at 425-771-0220 or by e-mail at
mcconnell@ci.edmonds.wa.us if you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections.
