During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
Hello Alicia, we, the Engineering Division, need the impervious surface recalculated and broken down in the
following manner: Impervious Surface Post 1977, Impervious Surface Prior to 1977, and Proposed
Impervious Surface. Per our records, the main structure was built in 1963 with an impervious surface of 1705
sq-ft, which includes the roof outline and the driveway at that time. The driveway at that time is shown to be
in the south side of the property.
Years later, our records show activity at this property in 1979 and 1983. Between 1979 and 1983 the garage
in the back of the property was added, the driveway switched from the south side of the property to the north
side, the swimming pool and all other impervious surfaces shown in the new site plan.
Based on the information I have provided you with the existing post and prior 1977 impervious surface has
been inaccurately shown in the site plan. You shall use 1705 sq-ft of impervious surface prior to 1977 and all
other impervious surface as post 1977, which according to my calculations the existing post 1977 impervious
surface plus the new proposed exceed the 2000 sq-ft of impervious surface therefore requiring you to detain.
Please refer to the City of Edmonds Development Information handout #E72, for all information, which can

Government/Development Services/Engineering Division.
Please show the minimum Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control requirements in the site plan.
Please resubmit three copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator.
