VARELA RETAINING WALL AT 9313 —190TH STREET SOUTHWEST
Dear Mr. Varela:
Thank you for your resubmittal for the above building permit application. I have
reviewed your resubmittal for the Planning Division and it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can
continue:
Rockery Height: Rockeries and retaining walls may not be located within the
minimum required setbacks for a lot unless they are less than three feet in height (as
measured from original grade). The height measurements provided on the plans are
the height of the wall from the bottom of the wall to the top of the wall, which is not
always the same as the height from original grade .since the bottom of the wall may
be above or below the original grade elevation. In order to confirm that the rockery
does not exceed three feet in height over the original grade, please provide top of
wall and original grade elevations along the entire proposed retaining wall at five-
foot intervals. 1 cannot sign off for the Planning Division until I receive these
measurements and am able to verify that the rockery will not exceed three feet in
height Over the original grade.
Please redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets
only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to
the Development Services Permit_ Coordinator Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon
or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at
