Email: Steven@Insigniasign.com RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2006-1172 76 STATION SIGNS AT 1011 PUGET DRIVE Dear Mr. Thomson: I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue: Monument Sign: Setbacks for the BN zone require 20 -foot street setbacks from the property lines adjacent to Olympic View Drive and Puget Drive. A sign is only permitted to be located within these setbacks if it is less than 3 feet in height and if the Engineering Division determines that the sign will not block vehicular sight distances. The proposed monument sign is 46 inches in height from ground level. In order for this sign to be approved for setbacks, the sign must be either reduced in size so that it is only 36 inches in height from ground level (including the concrete footing) or so that it meets the required 20 -foot setbacks from both streets. 2. Internal Illumination: Please provide an explanation of what portions of the canopy signs are intended to be internally illuminated. Also, please note that the monument sign cannot have internal illumination. PIease redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
