Dear Mr. Deisher:
I have reviewed your resubmittal for the above building permit application for the
Planning Division and it was found that the following will need to be addressed before
review can continue:
1. Geotechnical Report: I have reviewed the three geotechnical reports located
within our files (the 5/26/04 and 8/18/04 reports from Nelson Geotechnical
Associates and the 6/21/06 report from Associated Earth Sciences), and was unable
to find mention of the proposed detached garage. The two reports by Nelson
Geotechnical Associates addressed the subdivision of the original lot, and the report
by Associated Earth Sciences only addressed the manufactured home. Please
provide a supplemental letter from either Associated Earth Sciences or Nelson
Geotechnical Associates stating that they have reviewed the plans for the proposed
detached garage and providing any necessary recommendations so that the garage
will be constructed safely. Please also have them provide the minimum distance
that the detached garage must be from the top of the slope and show this distance on
the site plan.
Please redline plans or submit three sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets
only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to
the Development Services Permit Coordinator Monday through friday, 9:00 am to noon
or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at
