During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Vertical exit enclosures (stairwells) shall be built as fire barriers per IBC 1019.1. Fire barrier
walls shall extend from the top of the floor ceiling below to the underside of the floor or
roof/ceiling above, IBC 706.4. Stair sections 1/ A7.3 and 2/A7.3 show the gypsum board
terminating at the ceiling line.
2.The shaft enclosure walls for the elevator and the trash chute, 1 and 2/A7.1 shall extend from the
top of the floor ceiling below to the underside of the floor or roof/ceiling above, IBC 707.5
3.The nosing at the stair landings shall match the nosing at the stairs at stair sections 1/ A7.3 and
2/A7.3.
4.The elevator lobby plan, 1/A7.0 does not show the revised storage closets as included on sheet
A2.0. Identify the doors to be used for the closets.

7.The bathroom configurations for a number of the revised units do not appear to comply with
either option A or option B of the 2003 A117.1 requirements for fixture clearances. The water
closets in small rooms, for example in unit 209, and the clear space for the tub in unit 305. On
the enlarged floor plans, indicate with dashed lines the required clear floor space for each type A
or type B bathroom.
