I have been informed that the grading for your project will exceed 500 cubic yards. As
th
was stated in my April 30 memorandum, state environmental review is required for all
projects that exceed 500 cubic yards of grading. Please submit the following materials as
soon as possible, because there is a two-week appeal period associated with the review.
SEPA Checklist
1.. Please fill out the enclosed checklist. If an item does not relate to
your project, just write NA for ‘not applicable’. Once I’ve reviewed the checklist, I
will issue a determination, as is required by state law. The determination will be sent
to all property owners within 300 feet. (See below.) A two-week appeal period will
follow.

2.. The enclosed handout explains how to obtain this
information from Snohomish County.
Affidavit
3.. Please sign and have your signature notarized on the affidavit. If helpful
to you, we have a notary available at our office for no charge.
Fee
4.. A $420 fee will be added to your building permit for the processing of the
review.
Submit the above information to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday
through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions about
