During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed:
6/4/2007 -
1. Show the minimum Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control in the site plan. Please refer to
City of Edmonds standard detail E1.1, and E1.2 You may find this detail by visiting the City of
www.ci.edmonds.wa.us
Edmonds web site at and clicking on City Government-Development Services-

Engineering Division and scroll down to handouts and forms. Please show the required
erosion control as previously requested. A minimum of a Filter Fabric Fence shall be installed along the
9/19/2007
affected areas of the north, west and south property lines. Please show the required erosion
control in both plans (Site and Drainage)
6/4/2007 - 8/22/2007
2.Provide grading calculations and quantity. Please show/provide your grading
calculation and quantities. Your calculation shall include the proposed addition, garage, and driveway
9/19/2007
grading. I have calculated the grading quantities to be a minimum of 90-cu-yds. You have
noted in the Drainage Plan you submitted on 8/27/07 that there is ZERO grading as building area is flat
and that you will bring in material to bring the site up to level. If the building are is flat then, why are
bringing material to bring the site up to level? Grading means to cut or fill and bringing in material is to
be filling; therefore, please provide the GRADING quantities as previously asked.
3.Thank you for providing the Drainage plan as requested. The work sheet provided in the Drainage
handout must be filled. Please number all proposed catch basins and provide rim elevations, invert
elevations and direction of flow in the Drainage plan and the work sheet in handout #E72.
4.When connecting to the City of Edmonds Storm System you shall connect to an existing catch basin in
the Right-of-Way, either in front of your property if one exists, or by installing a new catch basing in
front of your property. Please show any catch basin that may exist in front of your property. If one exists
then, please provide rim and invert elevation and direction of flows.

5.Please notice that the work sheet in the Drainage hand out shows a catch basing at each end of the
detention pipe. Please show the required catch basin at each end of the detention pipe along with the
required invert elevations.
6.Please remove the note stating DOWNSPOUTS CONNECTED TO OUTFLOW TO DETENTION.
The downspouts shall connect to the detention system and the footing drain shall connect to the outfall
side of the detention system.
7.Please provide martial and slope for all the storm pipes.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
contact me at 425-771-0220 if you have specific questions regarding these plan corrections.
