RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2007-0534
FOSBERG REMODEL AT 17966 TALBOT ROAD
Dear Mr. Haglund:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found
that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before
review can continue:
Site Plan:
1. The site plan submitted with the building permit application is very difficult to
read because many of the lines are too faint to see. Please submit a clearer copy of your
site plan.
Steep Slope:
2. The geotechnical report by Krazan and Associates dated April 12, 2007
states that the proposed addition is 15 feet from the top of the steep slope. Please show the
top of the slope on the site plan and show that the addition is at least 15 feet from the top of
the slope. Additionally, the geotechnical report needs to addresses the proposed decks on
the northern and southern sides of the residence since they are located within 65 feet of the
steep slope. Please obtain an updated geotechnical report or an addendum to the existing
report from Krazan and Associates that addresses both proposed decks and provides the
minimum required distance for the decks to be from the top of the steep slope (this distance
should also be shown on the site plan). Note that the Building Division has not yet
reviewed this application, so there may be additional items that will need to be addressed
by the geotechnical report.
Please submit three copies of the updated site plan (at least one copy must be reduced in size) and
only two copies of any affected sheets of the building plans. Please make all submittals to a
Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm
