On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the above building permit
application. Only a few items need revising, in order for me to approve it. Please
respond in writing to the following:
1.Height Calculations. The deck needs to be excluded from the height calculations.
Please move points B and C westward to the edge of the house. Readjust the
height calculations accordingly. Doing so should result in a higher average grade
and ultimately a higher maximum elevations. Once you’ve calculated the new
average and maximum elevations, please write them on the elevation view. You
can red-line the plans yourself; it doesn’t need to be done by the architect.
2.Unidentified Extension from House. Along the eastern side of the house, the plot
plan shows a 2’ x 10’ extension. I am unable to determine what this is. If it is a
patio or other, please label it on the site plan. If it does not exist, please remove it
from the site plan.
3.Tree Clearing Plan. Since the property is located within a Wildlife Conservation
Area, please submit a site plan identifying the trees that will be removed for the
addition. Submit 3 copies.
You may red-line the plans, or submit new copies. If submitting new copies, provide
3 copies of the site plan and 2 copies of the elevations. Please make all submittals to
a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to
noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at
