On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the above building permit
application. Some additional information is required. Please respond in writing to the
following:
1.Grading. Grading quantities are not shown on the Grading & TESC Plan. Please
be aware that the original SEPA review allows for up to 3,000 cubic yards of fill
or cut, whichever is greater.
2.Lot Line Adjustment. A lot line adjustment will be required to remove the lot
line. Please contact a planner for the appropriate application materials. The fee
will be $365.
3.Entrance Design. The Architectural Design Board approved the application with
the condition that the entrance be revised to provide a “more human scale”. The
south elevation, as submitted appears unchanged.
4.Height Calculations. On the site plan next to the average grade, please show the
actual and maximum elevations. Are the actual and maximum elevations the
same? It is unclear on the elevation views. Please clarify on the elevation view.
5.Fence. Please identify on the site plan where the cedar fence will be located.
6.Possible Curb or Retaining Wall or Other. On the site plan there is a narrow strip
along the western border of the property, just west of parking spaces # 49 and 50.
Please label it on the site plan. If it is a retaining wall, please indicate the height
of the wall. Because it is located within the setback area, it may not exceed 36”
above original grade.
You may red-line the plans, or submit new copies. If submitting new copies, provide
3 copies of the site plan and 2 copies of the elevations. Please make all submittals to
a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to
noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at
