PO Box 822 Edmonds, WA 98020 RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2007-0773 TH FENCE AT 8505 – 200 STREET SW (JACK & MARIE THATCHER) Dear Applicant: I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified: Fence setback 1. . Fence placement must meet the requirements described in Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 17.30. Fence height is normally limited to three feet within 10 feet of a street right-of-way or access easement unless an exception is approved by the city engineer. As proposed, it appears the 5-foot fence th will be nearly on the 200 Street property line in front of the Thatcher’s home. Please submit an exception request to the Engineering Division for the placement of the 5-foot fence to be within 10 feet of your street property line. Otherwise, indicate on the site plan that the fence meets the height requirement by showing it will be th three feet tall wherever it is within 10 feet of 200 Street. Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
