On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the sign permit application for the
Bank of Washington. Please respond to the following revision, so that the application
can be approved.
Maximum Sign Area. The maximum sign area for the site is 90 square feet.
Refer to Edmonds Community Development Code 20.60.025A1. The maximum
area is one square foot per lineal foot of the wall containing the main public
entrance. Since the there are multiple entrances, the longer wall will be used to
determine the maximum sign area. The signs will need to be revised accordingly
to fit within the allowable sign area.
I’m not sure if this is a possibility, but if individual letters were mounted directly
to the building, the total sign area would be drastically reduced.
Please provide 2 revised copies to a Development Services Permit Coordinator,
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any
