Dear Mr. Cohen:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified:
Height Calculation:
1. The second story deck on the north side of the existing house
must be included in the inscribed height rectangle. Please adjust the
northwest/northeast points for the height rectangle accordingly (approximately 4
north). If the elevation of the points changes, please make any changes necessary to the
average grade and maximum allowable height on both the site plan and elevations.
Lot Coverage:
2. Because the north deck is second-story, its square footage must also be
included in lot coverage. Please update/verify the existing coverage on the site plan.
Please either redline any changes or submit three copies of your updated site plan (one of which
must be 8.5 by 14 inches or smaller) and two sets of any updated pages of the building plans.
Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm,
except on Wednesdays when we are closed for permit review. If you have any questions, please
