GOW GARAGE RE-ROOF AT 714 EDMONDS STREET
Dear Mr. Johnston:
I have reviewed your revision for the above building permit application for the Planning Division
and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be
addressed before review can continue:
Site Plan:
1. Please make the following changes to your site plan:
a.Correct the direction of the north arrow.
b.Show the exact points used for the four corners of your height rectangle.
Datum Point:
2. Please provide a description of the datum point used for your height
calculations (i.e. top of water meter, manhole cover rim, etc.). Additionally, the location
and elevation of your datum point must be shown on your site plan.
Height Calculations:
3. The average grade, maximum allowed height, and proposed height
shown on your site plan appear to be unchanged from your previous building permit for
alterations to the residence. The elevations provided for the four corners of your height
rectangle do not match up with the average grade provided. Please confirm the elevations
of the four corners of your height rectangle and update the average grade on your site plan
and building elevations accordingly. Additionally, the maximum allowed height for
detached structures is 15’. Therefore, please correct the maximum allowed height on your
site plan and building elevations to be the average grade plus 15’. Your building elevations
state a proposed height of 111.18’ while your site plan states a proposed height of 117.38’.
Please confirm which height is correct and make all necessary updates to your site plan
and/or building elevations.
Please submit three copies of the updated site plan (at least one copy must be reduced in size) and
only two copies of any affected sheets of the building plans. Please make all submittals to a
Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, excluding Wednesdays,
between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (425) 771-
