Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hinkel:
I have reviewed your resubmittal submitted on November 2, 2007 for the above building
permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can
continue:
Height Calculations:
1. I am still unclear of how the elevations used for your height
calculations were obtained. Based on the topography shown on your site plan, it
appears that the current elevations of Points C and D are around 95’ for Point C and
90’ for Point D. The elevations of these points should be based on original grade;
however, it seems unlikely that the original grades of these points were 105’ for
Point C and 96’ for Point D as stated on your site plan. This would mean that 10’
of material was removed from the location of Point C between the original grade
and the current grade. Please provide an explanation of the original topography and
how you came up with the original grade elevations for all four height rectangle
points, particularly Points C and D. Additionally, please provide an explanation of
how the elevations from the site plan that you submitted from 1976 were translated
into elevations that correspond with the new datum point (the manhole rim). I
spoke with Fred Brown yesterday, and he was going to call me back with additional
clarification, but I wanted to send a notice to you that I am still waiting for this
information.
Please submit three copies of the updated site plan (at least one copy must be reduced in
size) and only two copies of any affected sheets of the building plans. Please make all
submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday,
excluding Wednesdays, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, feel
