Dear Mr. Hyldahl:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and found that the
following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can
continue:
1.The City does not have a Critical Areas Checklist on file for

review is $135.
2.: The proposal calls for installation of fencing partitions to the west of the Sound

View building. Please indicate on a landscape plan where they will be located and
describe their height and composition. Fence placement must meet the requirements
described in Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 17.30. Fence height is
normally limited to three feet within 10 feet of a street right-of-way or access easement
unless an exception is approved by the city engineer.
3.: All unit deck railings are to be replaced along with stair railings. If I

appearance match what is existing as far as color, spacing, etc.? For example, will
aluminum pickets be used throughout or will some glass panels be installed instead?
