RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2008-0084
TH
MARIN ADU REMODAL AT 18918 – 80 AVENUE WEST
Dear Mr. Marin:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division, and it was found
that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before
review can continue:
Accessory Dwelling Unit Covenant:
1.An ADU covenant was received with your land use
application (File No. ADU-2007-89). As stated in Condition #6 of the staff report, the
covenant must be filed with Snohomish County (following the end of the appeal period,
assuming no appeals are received). Please indicate which of the following options you
prefer:
a.You may provide the City with a processing fee of $15 plus the County recording
fee of $42 for one page, for a total of $57 plus $1 for each additional page, and
the City will record the covenant for you; OR
b.Take the covenant to the County and have it recorded for the County’s recording
fee of $42 for one page plus $1 for each additional page, and return a copy of the
recorded covenant to the Edmonds Planning Division with the Auditor’s
recording sticker on it.
Critical Areas Determination:
2.Since you will need to break ground for the proposed
porch, a critical areas determination on your property is required. Please submit the
enclosed critical areas checklist with the required $135 fee.
Height:
3.Please indicate the height of the peak of the proposed porch roof on the elevation
view of the building plans.
Accessory Dwelling Unit Approval:
4.Please note that the Planning Division cannot
approve your proposed remodel permit until after the end of the appeal period for your land
use permit (File No. ADU-2007-89). If an appeal is received prior to the end of the appeal
period, the Planning Division’s approval of the proposed remodel permit is contingent upon
the final determination of the appeal.
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, excluding Wednesdays, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, feel
free to contact me at (425) 771-0220, ext. 1224. I look forward to working with you on this
project.
Sincerely,
Development Services Department - Planning Division
