On behalf of the Planning Division, I have reviewed the above building permit
application. Some additional information is still required. Please respond in writing to
the following:
1.Datum point. Please provide a datum point on the site plan. It must be a
permanent point of reference such as a sewer manhole cover. Label the datum
point and its elevation. It will be used to verify height calculations at time of
inspection.
2.Height Calculations. There appears to be an error in the height calculations. I
calculated the average grade as follows: 337.9 + 339.0 + 339.9 + 338.5 =
1355.3 / 4 = 338.83’. The maximum then would be 363.83’. As proposed
the house is shown at 365.85’. Please make the necessary corrections to the
site plan; then re-label the elevation views.
3.Covered Areas. Please label the covered patio and covered porch on the site
plan.
4.Tree Cutting Plan. The short plat decision for S-2008-10 states that the tree
cutting plan must be submitted with the building permit. In reviewing the site
plan, it appears that you will be retaining the trees bolded in black and
removing the grayed out trees. If this is accurate, please make a notation on
the site plan.
You may red-line the existing plans or submit new copies. If submitting new copies,
please include 3 copies of the site plan (1 reduced) and 2 copies of the elevation views.
Make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday or Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact
