Thank you for your resubmittal; it clarified several concerns. However, before I can sign off on the permit, there are still several issues that need to be addressed: Sidewalk: RESOLVED. There had been some discussion of realigning the sidewalk on the property along Edmonds Way to provide a landscaped buffer to increase pedestrian safety. In fact, you had submitted an updated site plan on May 14, 2008, indicating the change. I notice the change has not been made to the site plan (ALL) in the building permit submittal. Please clarify. Site Plan scale: UNRESOLVED. The scale on the site plan (AL1) indicates 1:20 but it scales to 1:10. Please verify. [The reduced -size plan shows the 1:10 but the larger sheet Al.I still shows 1:20.] Datum Point: UNRESOLVED. Please identify the datum point on the site plan and indicate its elevation. [The datum point was added to the reduced -size site plan but not sheet A1.1. Also, it appears that the datum elevation listed on the site plan (284.86, I believe) does not match that listed on the elevation sheet (A3.1). The datum elevation listed on sheet A3.1 is 286.50. Please identify the datum point on sheet Al. 1 and verify its elevation on both Al.I and A3.1.] 4. Landscaping Bid: RESOLVED. Please provide an estimate of the cost of the landscaping improvements including materials and labor. It is noted that the changes to the landscaping requested by the ADB have been incorporated into the landscape plan (LI.l) submitted with the building permit. Thank you. 5. Sculpture Pad: UNRESOLVED. A `future sculpture pad' is indicated on the site plan (ALL) near the southeast corner of the parcel between the proposed building and Edmonds Way. This feature is not identified on the landscaping plan (LI.1), nor was it shown on the site plan reviewed by the ADB. If such a feature is to be included, it must be less than 36" in height since it would be located in the setback area along Edmonds Way. [At your request, I was initially going to simply redline the sculpture pad. However, since there are additional corrections to be made, when you resub for those please remove references to the sculpture pad on sheet Al.1.] 6. Materials: RESOLVED. As indicated in the ADB's approval of the project, "a final materials board and elevations or perspective drawings shall be submitted that depict the final choice of materials and colors for the building." Please submit said materials and drawings and I can schedule a time to take them back to the ADB for a courtesy review. If a sculpture is anticipated for the landscaped area along Edmonds Way, it would be useful to submit a drawing of that as well for the ADB to take a look at. You may redline your existing plans or submit three copies of your updated site plan (one reduced size) and two sets of any updated pages of the building plans. Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, except on Wednesdays when we are closed for permit review. If you have any questions, please contact me at (425) 771-0220. Sincerely, Mike Clugston, AICP Planner
